How do the free and VIP memberships work?
With a free membership, you can create a membership, upload photos, browse the men and women of CrushMe, create a "Faves" list, and "crush" members, but can not send or view received messages. With a VIP membership, you are allowed to use all features of CrushMe.
How much does a VIP membership cost?
While it is free to be on the site for a normal membership, a VIP membership costs $10 a month. The cost of a drink! Since we understand each persons dating life can change at any moment, you can cancel anytime with no obligations!
Why can't I put up a text profile?
As they say... a picture is worth a 1,000 words. Other dating sites have hundreds of categories listing likes and dislikes. Life is not a checklist... We want you to tell your story through pictures!
Can I change my picture once it's uploaded?
Yes, you have the ability to change your default picture to any one of the other pictures that you have uploaded. You can find this in your My Account settings.
I found someone, but I don't want to lose them, what do I do?
Simply add them to your 'Faves' from their profile page and they will be saved in your account.
What is the difference between "Faves" and "Crush?"
If you have found someone that you are interested in, but not sure if you want to communicate with them yet, simply add them to your "Faves" list. Your "Faves" list is only visible by you. Other people cannot see that you have added them or looked at their profile. If you have found someone that you are interested in and want to let them know that you are interested, send them a "Crush." The person will be notified that you have crushed them and it is then up to them to make the next move!
I've found someone I like, how do I know their interests, desires, etc?
We want you to paint the canvas of your interest just like a real world encounter. Ask them, I'm sure they would love to tell you!
Will crushme.com help us stay in touch after the initial contact?
We are just the meeting space, we leave it to you to do all the exchange of details and information as you see fit. After the initial contact, the ball is in your court!
I sent someone a Crush/Message but I never heard back. What's the deal?
If the person you sent a Crush/Message to is not a premium member, they can not view the message you have sent them. The person can see that they have received a message but can not see who it is from or the content until they become a premium member. Otherwise, all messages are sent directly to the owners account and we have no control over anyone's responses or response time. You could wait a little longer or just move on to more exploring. There are plenty of fish in the sea!
How do I know this person lives in Chicago?
When members first sign up, they are required to have a zip code within 25 miles of Chicago.
